Step up to the 2004 Mitsubishi Galant ES, and you'll enjoy body colored exterior trim, a mesh grille, chrome accents, and premium fabric. Cruise control is included on the ES, and the stereo gets six speakers instead of four. The most luxurious and sporty 2004 Mitsubishi Galant is the GTS. This model includes every feature that Mitsubishi offers on the Galant, except a Cold Zone option package that includes heated front seats and heated exterior mirrors. On the safety front, the 2004 Mitsubishi Galant includes as standard equipment daytime running lights; pretensioning, force-limiting front seatbelts; a front passenger airbag that includes a weight sensor; and three-point seatbelts in all locations. Sadly, ABS and traction control are standard only on the LS and GTS - the ES can be optioned with ABS but not traction control. Side-impact airbags are also limited to the ES, LS and GTS; optional on the lower trims and standard on the fully loaded GTS.

It rides on an American designed and built platform with twice the rigidity of its predecessor. But it's not stiffness that will catch the public's eye, it's styling.
