Mitsubishi L200 PICK UP RANGE Review – Yahoo Cars UK
Seduced by the aggressive facade and rugged image, they want one primarily for posing purposes, so the brasher the better. Look at Mitsubishis L200 pick-up range and its easy to see how its been fashioned to mirror these market dynamics. Many buyers will, however, want to take Mitsubishi up on their offer of a power upgrade package for the L200. This is standard on the Animal models but is available as a -L-595 option on lesser L200s. It takes the form of an additional Electronic Control Unit for the engine which undertakes some clever jiggery-pokery to boost the output to 138bhp. As you might imagine, an L200 isnt the most nimble vehicle on the road but a pronounced unwieldiness is a trait it shares with all other UK market pick-ups and many rivals are considerably worse in this respect. Body roll while cornering is prominent and uneven road surfaces can provoke bouts of seesawing motion from the bouncy offroad suspension. The driving position is comfortable, however, and although you sit high above the road, the L200 seats are low to the floor of the vehicle giving sportscar-like feel.

All-new Mitsubishi L200
L200's nearly identical sharp lines, Mitsubishi "Mount Fuji" grille and firm stance remains clearly visible, but adapted to production, regulations and real-life driving conditions. Such is the reason for a more rounded edge of the bonnet in order to provide L200's driver with an unobstructed view of the road.

2005 DAKAR RALLY
Brazilian driver Klever Kolberg is one of the most experienced privateers taking part in the Dakar Rally and a regular entrant with the Mitsubishi Ralliart team. He finished second of the Ralliart customers and 11th overall in the 2004 Dakar Rally, eighth overall in 2002 and 13th in 2003.

MITSUBISHI L200 PICK-UP gets bigger & better
The new model year L200 also gets a face-lift, sporting a purposeful new front-end clearly distinguishing the revised model from its predecessor. Changes within the line-up include the debut of a new range-topping equipment-packed Animal Double Cab, destined to become the "must have" pick-up of the year and the addition of an all-new L200 Warrior Club Cab. L200 HIGH SERIES RANGE D- IT'S AN ANIMAL Taking a leading role within the pack is the completely revised high-specification L200 Animal Double Cab. Boasting more standard equipment than any other double cab pick-up on the market, the Animal has undergone a complete makeover gaining new Animal graphics, 18" alloy wheels, new black leather seats with Animal branding and a more distinctive image with three monotone body colour choices of starlight silver, cosmos black and a new titanium grey. Priced at -L-19,999, the L200 Animal Double Cab is aimed squarely at a growing market of customers who require a premium high-series pick-up vehicle to satisfy the demands of their everyday activities be it business or pleasure. Mitsubishi's best selling L200 Warrior Double Cab gets upgraded for 2005 with standard ABS and EBD plus new design 16" 6-spoke alloy wheels and the additional choice of new titanium grey body colour. The Warrior family also gets a new member with a club cab variant joining the high-series range. Next Steps
After years as market leader in the double-cab pick-up market the L200 is beginning to show its age, but still has plenty to offer. Range is effectively split into two camps - the 4Work aimed at those who use the vehicles mainly for business, and the 4Life, Warrior and Animal aimed at those who need the vehicles to double up as a family car.

Features - Fifth Gear
Yet over the last few years, that has been steadily changing - and, as the biggest seller of pick-up trucks in the UK, Mitsubishi has been right at the forefront of the growing "lifestyle" market; people who are picking an equipment-packed pick-up as an alternative to a conventional 4x4. And with the arrival of an all-new L200, which is claimed to set new standards in terms of refinement, Mitsubishi is hoping to expand that market even further.
