That sophisticated, well-executed impression of the Lancer's exterior carries over to the interior. The Lancer's cab-forward design employs a tall roofline that-combined with a long wheelbase-creates a roomy cabin and ensures outstanding comfort and visibility. The shallow positioning of the instrument panel and beltline improves the driver's lines of visibility and helps to create a feeling of freedom and control for driver and passengers alike. The front and rear seats feature an elevated hip point that facilitates passenger entry and exit from the car. To kick it up a notch, the Lancer Ralliart is equipped with front sport bucket seats that were sourced directly from the Japanese-market Lancer Evolution GT-A.

2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Car Review - Edmunds.com
An effort was made (and still is today) to market the O-Z Rally as a sporty sedan, but with just the base engine and no available ABS, it remains all-show and no-go. For 2004, continuing its quest for young, active buyers, Mitsubishi introduced a new compact wagon known as the Sportback and brought out performance-oriented Lancer Ralliart versions of both the sedan and the wagon. For 2005, Mitsubishi discontinued the Sportback wagons, leaving only the sedans once again. Like its Galant sibling, the smooth-riding Mitsubishi Lancer does a fine job of isolating passengers from nasty jolts on the roadway. Base models provide adequate power around town, but highway travel will make you wish you had more than 120 hp. With 162 horses to go around, the Lancer Ralliart model is much more enjoyable, especially when equipped with the slick-shifting five-speed manual.
