In a move that showed signs of life still remain at Mitsubishi Motors North America (MMNA), the company announced that Hiroshi Harunari will be appointed president and CEO effective January 1st, 2006. Harunari's previous stint was as Managing Director of Overseas Operations for Mitsubishi Motors Corporation since April 2005 and he joins current co-president and co-CEO Rich Gilligan. The Mitsubishi Raider has been transformed into a hot-rod street truck in this Street Raider concept. Ride height is lowered two inches on a custom air suspension, front and rear bumpers are "blended flush with the body," and a custom grille features black chrome. It's a little too soon to call the new Mitsubishi Outlander that was officially unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show a hit, but it's debut has been a success so far. Mitsubishi began taking preorders for its new sport utility back in the middle of September and by yesterday 5,000 orders had already been placed. The Outlander officially went on sale October 17th in Japan and the company was estimating a monthly sales target of only 2,000 vehicles.

Mitsubishi Motors debuts this week in the United States with an advertising campaign to promote its new Eclipse sport coupe and present its a fresh look for its brand. The company's new tagline is "Driven to thrill" which is designed to communicate to consumers that Mitsubishi is a company that is "driven to thrill" in every aspect - from its engineering, to its product design, to its people.

You could be driving at least one new Mitsubishi vehicle every year! Full-time employees with an approved driving record are eligible to lease up to four Mitsubishi vehicles at any one time.
