Mitsubishi Minica - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Minica is a Japanese keicar model with a long history, first introduced in October, 1962 by Mitsubishi Motors as a two door sedan with a front mounted two cylinder two cycle air cooled 359 cc engine driving the rear wheels, a transverse leaf spring in front and rigid axle with leaf springs at the rear, based on the Mitsubishi 360 series of vans, wagons, and pickups. In December, 1994 the Minica's response to the SUV craze was introduced as the "Mitsubishi Pajero Mini", with its own dedicated platform featuring a shorter wheelbase, four wheel drive, and a choice of either of the four cylinder engines.

Child Protection Mitsubishi recommended forward-facing restraints for both children. In the frontal impact, both were protected, but the younger child suffered high chest and neck loads. In the side impact, the older child risked head injuries. A warning against placing a child in a rear-facing restraint opposite an airbag was given in three languages but none was native to the country where Euro NCAP bought the vehicle.

Mitsubishi Pajero V73 Sued
Beijing Second Intermediate People's Court recently formally accepted the lawsuit in which four consumers from Xi'an sued Mitsubishi for quality problems in its new model Pajero V73. Pajero V73 is the only model of Pajero series found in Chinese market. As sources show, Liu Wenhong, one of the prosecutors of the lawsuit, purchased a Pajero V73 land-cruiser produced by Mitsubishi in the bonded zone in Tianjin on August 25, 2000. In the same day, Liu Wenhong and Chen Ping, another prosecutor, drove the vehicle home in Xi'an in turns. After some time of driving on the Kaifeng-Luoyang expressway, Chen Ping suddenly noticed a small fraise on the road. He immediately stepped on the brake to slow down for a detour. Unexpectedly, the braking system of the vehicle failed to work, which led the land-cruiser out of control and broke through the railings. The Pajero tumbled into the ditch, which is over ten meters in depth. Before the lawsuit against Pajero V73, Pajero V31 and V33 have been prohibited in China. On February 9, 2001, the State Exit-Entry Inspection and Quarantine Bureau announced to ban the imports of Pajero V31 and V33 land-cruisers. On February 26, China State Exit-Entry Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, the Ministry of Public Security, General Administration of Customs and the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Co-operation jointly issued a notice in revoking the quota and import safety permit for Pajero V31, V33 land-cruisers as from February 9.

Motoring - Mitsubishi Pajero SWB – not a Mom's Taxi
Unlike some SUVs, this is not a mom's taxi with a great view; its three doors limit practicality and its handling is soggy on tar but the short-wheelbase Pajero is an impressively accomplished off-roader.
AutoWeb - New Car Test - Mitsubishi Pajero io
And that is especially true in the automotive area, where the competent performer from a few years ago can suddenly become this year's also-ran. When one stand-out car gets released, others of the same genre suffer - and that's the situation with Mitsubishi's Pajero io. It's an honest, forthright and humble car, head down and bum up as it conscientiously does its job. Well, a correction then: no longer do most buyers want those things. Especially when at $32,690, the as-tested little Pajero is actually $700 more expensive than the Nissan X-Trail, a vehicle with a stunning 39 per cent more power, not only four-wheel discs but also far more sophisticated twin-spot front brake calipers, more interior space, infinitely better on the road, an intelligent four wheel drive system... However the little Pajero is easy to drive: the gearbox and clutch are light, the steering well-weighted, and visibility quite good. It's not at all a daunting car to get into and take for a spin. Partially helped by its small exterior dimensions (yes, even the "long wheelbase" 5-door) but even more helped by the user-friendliness of its controls, it's easy to feel quickly at home. Until it comes to the four wheel drive system, anyway. Whether you view the dual lever gearbox as a blessing or a curse will depend entirely on where you're coming from; the farmer will love it, but many others will hate it.

MITSUBISHI'S Challenger roots are found in the previous generation Triton ute. It is smaller than the Pajero 4WD but slightly more rugged in orientation. The good-looking Challenger gets most of the Pajero's creature comforts and 4WD systems, and with the facelift which came in September 2000 it traded its leaf spring rear suspension for much more sophisticated coil springs. But that was far from all, with a significant update of the looks, a new transmission and a new up-spec LS model all part of the model revamp. MIVEC - AFTER a less than impressive stint attempting to invade the compact off-roader market with the Pajero iO, Mitsubishi now takes on the popular, RAV4-style soft-roaders with its Outlander. Very bold from the front, but less so everywhere else, the Outlander proves to be an effective, quite spacious all-wheel drive wagon with excellent dirt road manners as well as a sedan-like on-road experience that is emphasised by its unusually low on-road stance. With the longest wheelbase in the class - longer, for example, than a Mazda Tribute - it accommodates passengers and luggage readily. As a soft-roader, it maybe comes closer than anything else of its ilk to combining car-like road manners and looks with reasonable off-road ability. Exceed - MITSUBISHI'S Pajero has always offered a little bit more on-road ability than the heavyweight 4WDs that were its initial competition. And the tradition continues with the latest revamp that was introduced late in 2003.
